Patio and Garage Gym

Here are a few photos of our new Patio with the Canopy, and our home gym in our garage!! We are so excited to be settling in and making this our "home".

Mud Run

This past weekend Bill and I ran the 4 mile MARSOC Mud Run on base here, it was so much fun!! I of course found the largest, deepest mud pit and stepped waist deep into it!! Thankfully I didn't lose my shoe!! Needless to say we had to hose ourselves off when we were done!! Here are our results!! =o)

Happy Easter!

Big Birthday Present

This past Monday we were able to give the kids their "big" birthday gift: New Bikes!! Lillian got a big girl bike with training wheels, which she is doing great on!! William still needs a little help with his bike, but he is getting the hang of it!! Lillian also started at her new school in Jacksonville, and is really enjoying her new class and friends.

I am also delighted to pass along that it looks as though Bill will take command of a Battery by mid-April. Words cannot clearly describe how proud I am of him, and all his hard work that has lead him to this well earned honor.

Boston Aquarium

We had been promising Lillian for weeks that for her birthday we would take her to the Boston Aquarium , so on her birthday we finally did!! It was amazing!! The kids loved watching the sharks and huge turtle swim around the tank in the middle of the building. They also LOVED the touch tank; it took Lillian a little while to warm up to the idea of touching a star fish, but she finally did!! I'll post video of that soon!

Lillian's Birthday

Lillian turned four about a week ago, and we spent the day in Boston (a short drive from where we were staying in Maine). We began the day having a lunch at Legal Seafood where the kids enjoyed two of their favorite foods: Corn on the Cob and Watermelon with their lunch. The staff was also great and brought out a gourmet chocolate dessert with two scoops of ice cream and a candle!! Lillian was not quite sure what to do. After that we went to the Boston Aquarium, which was fabulous (more pics on that in a minute). For dinner we met two of my very good friends Brooke and her husband Andrew, and Whitney. Brooke and Whitney did an amazing job of making Lillian's birthday dinner special. They brought the cake and gifts, and it was so much fun, I don't quite think Lillian new what to do when the cake came out!! Enjoy the pics, more to follow!
