USMC Ball 2011

Bill and I attended the 236th USMC this past Saturday night. First I have to say I did my own hair, I know shocking!! I am so impressed with my self! ;0) We had a great night as adults, out by ourselves, and of course celebrating the Marine Corps Birthday!

Halloween 2011

Halloween this year was a lot of fun! The kids had a great time in their costumes (William still wears his almost daily)! Bill got home the Friday before (29th) just in time to head to Wegmans for their in store Trick-or-Treating, where the kids got to paint small pumpkins and visit the different locations (bakery, deli...) for candy. They had a blast and how can you not have fun when it's Wegmans?

Sunday I ran the USMC 10k in Washington DC it was very cold, below freezing for the whole race, but I had a great time. I was hoping for under 50 minutes and ran my a great race, unfortunately my last mile got me and the last 2 tenths up hill hit me hard and I finished at 50:01! A bummer to come so close, but it is something to work towards and I'm doing the Turkey Trot 10k on base in a couple weeks! ;0)

Halloween was a blast with the kids, Quinlan didn't even notice he had a costume on and loved being pulled in the wagon (he also loved being handed lolly-pops as we went along!). Lillian and William were really into this year which was great! There are more pictures on our web site:

Lillian Last Soccer Game

Lillian had her last soccer game of the fall season a few weeks ago. She really enjoyed playing on her team and in their weekly games.

Lillian's Soccer Games

Lillian had her first two soccer games this weekend (Friday and Saturday) and she did outstanding! She loved playing and really got into it by her game on Saturday, she had an assist on one goal and scored her first goal!! It was textbook, she dribbled up the field, weaved around the other teams players and shot right into the goal!! Beautiful (No there are no pictures of this because I was That parent on the sidelines cheering!!). She was so shocked after she scored it was priceless then broke out into a beautiful grin!! She keeps asking when she gets to play again!!

William enjoyed his sisters soccer games as well; he spent his time playing with the other kids and wrestling the coaches daughter. In the pictures you see he lost, er...he let her win and have the soccer ball ;0)

William's First Day of School

William had his first day of preschool this week. He was so excited to be going to a big kid school just like his sister. He is loving it and making new friends adn enjoying his new teachers and all the activities they do everyday!

Great Wolf Lodge/Williamsburg, VA

Over Labor Day weekend we took the kids to Great Wold Lodge in Williamsburg, Va. We all had a wonderful time! Lillian and William really enjoyed the waterslides and all that Great Wolf had to offer! We also got to head into Williamsburg and fulfill Bills and my need to walk around downtown and get our family cannon shot with Quinlan in it. Lillian had no fear of water slides and even "rode the boogey board wave" (which I couldn't believe)! Quinlan was a great sport and actually napped most of the time we were at the water park! William loved playing on the water "fort" they have there!

First Day of School (August 16, 2011)

Tuesday was Lillian's first day of kindergarten and my first day of teaching. I am lucky to be teaching at Lillian's school so Bill got her on the bus and I was able to see her off the bus and to her classroom. We both had a wonderful first week and our settling into our new routines! Quinlan didn't want to be forgotten and ran a high fever all week finally after our second trip to Urgent Care they found a double ear infection. Then after 3 doses of amoxicillin, he broke out in a glorious allergic reaction, so we went back for our third trip to Urgent Care and a confirmation that he is also allergic to amoxicillin. Thankfully his rash has cleared up and he is doing much better!

NY Trip

These are a few more from our trip to NY of the older cousins (Quinn was in bed already) and the grown-ups celebrating the recent birthdays!! My Uncle Harvey and Riva joined us for a few days and the kids loved having them to play with as well!

Blueberry Picking in NY

We took a trip up to NY a few weeks ago and were lucky to have Bill join us for a few days over the weekend! We had a wonderful time with my sister, her son Charlie, and my mom blueberry picking at a farm in Cazenovia. I think William and Quinlan ate more than the 4 quarts we brought home!!
