William's 3rd Birthday Party

Today we celebrated William's 3rd Birthday at gymnastics with his close friends. He had such a good time running around and of course bouncing and I loved getting to watch him and his smile!
He of course had a Spiderman cupcake cake, and all things Spiderman! Time is surely flying; how can I slow it down??? ;0)

Navy/Air Force Baseball Game

Saturday afternoon the we headed with the kids and our dear friends Heath and Ruthie to Kinston to watch Navy take on the Airforce in a collegiate baseball game. It was an absoulte blast and the kids (especially William) loved watching the game and playing with the other kids that were there.

Sierra Battery President's Day Salute

Today Bill's Battery performed the President's Day Salute aboard Camp Lejeune. The kids and I were able to attend and we were not disappointed! It was amazing to see the cannons that close and to witness the firing.

Quinlan was showing his pride by wearing his "King of Battle" shirt that Ms. Ruthie got him! He was having a great time smiling and cooing as I took his picture.

Quinlan's Baptism

This past weekend we had Quinlan's baptism here aboard Camp Lejeune. Our wonderful friends Heath and Ruthie were able to be present to accept the role as his God Parents! It was a wonderful service, and us grown-ups (with Quinn) were able to have an adult night out afterwards! Lillian and William were not fond of taking family pictures, and seeing Lillian so grown up was very hard!

Quinlan Two Months Old

Time is definitely flying! Quinlan is two months old now and his personality is coming out more each day! He is growing like a weed and at a sick visit this week he was 11lbs 4oz (so another pound) and we will get his height at his well check-up this week. We definitely had our initiation into a sick family this week. Both Lillian and William came down with strep throat and Quinlan began to run a low-grade fever and after some blood work the Dr's determined he had a virus. Thankfully nothing more serious! William seems to have gotten my genes as a possible carrier of strep; as he showed no symptoms (fever, sore throat...) for his strep. I asked that they test him after Lillian tested positive and sure enough he was! After some heavy duty antibiotics we are all on the mend.

William also reached a milestone this week with becoming fully potty trained (YEAH!!!); he was able to pick out his "big boy" toy. He of course chose the most complicated Iron Man Transformer (Iron Man to a jet) that mommy has no clue how to transform and is ready to throw the toy out and get him something much less complicated ;0)

Playground Fun

Last weekend we had a gorgeous, warm, almost Spring day and we took full advantage of it! Eating lunch and playing at the playground "by daddies old work" (as William says). It was so nice to be outside and not freezing or wet and the playground was recently renovated with tons or new equipment! The kids (daddy included) also needed to explore the surrounding beach and water which of course included dipping their toes in!!
