William's Birthday

Sprint Triathlon

A few weekends ago Bill and I, along with our friend Ross, did an indoor sprint triathlon. It was a lot of fun, I have to admit. We swam 300 meters, biked 8 miles (on a stationary spin bike) and then ran 3 miles on an indoor track. Bill came in 2nd for his age group, and 4th male overall with a total time of 49 minutes!!! I came in 2nd for my age group as well and 3rd female overall. We had a blast doing it, and were so surprised at how well we did!!

In other news, we are 14 days out before we head back to Camp Lejeune!! We are getting very excited along with the typical anxiety about packing up and moving once again!! I have posted what will be our temporary address (for anywhere from 1-9 months) while we wait to get back onto base housing!!

Pottery Pieces

One of the days after the ice storm, Lillian and I went to a place where you can paint your own pottery. She chose the toothbrush holder, and painted it the red and blue colors. I then had a coffee there a few days later and added Elmo and Big Bird; I was really happy with how it came out!! I also did the plate and Buffalo mug below! Enjoy!!

Natural History Museum

A couple weekends ago we took the kids up to Oklahoma City and the Natural History Museum, it was catered a little more towards older kids, but they found ways to enjoy themselves!! Here is a link to more pictures, enjoy!

Oklahoma Ice Storm!

This past Thursday we got hit with a pretty bad ice storm in Lawton. We lost power about 430pm Thursday evening and did not get it back until after 5pm Friday evening. It made for a VERY interesting night and day in the very cold, with the kids. Thankfully we and the home we are renting faired pretty well, our town took a big hit with some still without power. A few more pics of Colorado....

These are some pictures of the kids at the Children's Museum in Denver. It is fabulous and I highly reccommend it to anyone who visits there! The kids had a blast playing, building, painting and DANCING!! Everyone stopped to watch the two of them "tap dance". It was adorable!!
